The opportunity to attend the Carbon Freezing Experience at Disney Hollywood Studios will soon be coming to a close. But you still have a chance to become immortalized in Carbonite for a short time. The experience isn’t just available during Star Wars Weekends, but is available every day through June 16th, even after Star Wars Weekends come to a close on June 10th.
For the next few days guests have the opportunity to step into a “Carbon Freezing Chamber,” located near The American Idol Experience in the Disney Hollywood Studios theme park, and have their faces 3-D scanned using multiple cameras to create an 8-inch figurine depicting themselves frozen in carbonite. It also comes with a light-up wristband.
The figurine will be shipped to fans’ houses after around four weeks, featuring the participant’s face instead of the likeness of Harrison Ford, stuck in that famous pose.
The resulting figurine can be hung on a wall. It’s part of Disney’s “D-Tech Me” line of personalized products.
The cost is $99.95 plus shipping and handling for the figure. You can purchase additional copies for $74.95. You need to schedule your appointment to be immortalized before you head out to Disney by calling 407-WDW-TECH (407-939-8324).
