A short story from the fantasist Ray Bradbury receives an adaptation on tonight edition of The Gaming Gang October Spooktacular. Most think of science fiction tales when Bradbury’s name is mentioned but he also penned horrifying stories of the macabre too. In The Pillar of Fire – which aired on 2000x on May 14th, 2000 – in the far future the dead are no longer buried but simply incinerated. As graveyards of the past have been emptied of their dead, the final remaining corpse reanimates to unleash retribution. This recording also kicks off with a funny little story about why we need to fund National Public Radio.
