A Sneak Peek at the Mystery AEG ‘Black Friday Black Box’

Our friends at AEG have established a tradition of releasing a special Black Friday Black Box the past couple of years. While the contents were kept secret prior to release, the 2015 edition included six (yes six!) previously released games – some revised for the box – as well as a new title. Granted these were more along the lines of micro-games (and you didn’t receive the actually packaging for each title) but the box still packed plenty of table top goodness.

This year will be a little bit different as we’ll be looking at a single brand new game aimed at advanced gamers. We do know the title is a deck building game and it looks like it might take place in a faction driven, battle royale type of setting. The Black Box title will also feature tarot sized cards and completely new game mechanics for AEG. We also know this is a multiplayer game – my guess two to four – with the possibility of more if you purchase additional copies, so that should mean the inclusion of more than four main factions (characters?) in the box. Early press information also indicates the game has been in the works at AEG for a decade.

The 2016 Black Friday Black Box will only be available on November 25th, 2016 and supplies will be limited. The MSRP is $49.99.

Granted my thoughts on what the game might be like is pure conjecture but at least here’s a sneak peek at four of the cards:
