Action Games Miniatures Announces Drake

Vancouver based gaming company, Action Games Miniatures, has revealed a new miniatures system that promises to combine minis and collectable card games. Drake focuses on dragons, their allies, and enemies. The game is currently in development and it does sound like an interesting concept, although only time will tell if AGM can pull this off.

From AGM:

We LOVE Dragons. The creator of this company first purchased a metal Fantasy Dragon model in 1994 and has never looked back. ACTION GAMES feels that Dragons and their Kinfolk have never been properly adapted to Miniature Wargames. Dragons are typically used at riding beasts or animals, this is not how we feel they should be portrayed.

Dragons are powerful! Dragons are Mystical! Dragons are highly more intelligent then Humans and deserve a world where THEY are the dominant force of destiny!

DRAKE is an up coming Miniature Wargame being produced by ACTION GAMES out of Vancouver BC, Canada. We are creating an exciting line of miniatures, as well as a completely new game system to use them with. Check out the page “For the Wargamer” on this website if you are already into this awesome hobby and want the real deal!

The game of DRAKE combines elements of CCG’s (Collectible Card Game’s) with high quality white metal miniatures of beautiful Dragons and their deadly minions. Each force has their own separate deck of spell cards, many of which can be played to interrupt the actions of opponents. Creation and Construction cards allow you to “Summon” warrior beasts, flying enchanted creatures, and powerful energy nexus’ as you need them on the battlefield. Enhancement cards give you many options to “Beef up” your troops with deadly ability bonuses. Human servants as well as the great Dragons smaller minions called “Cousins” form the starting tabletop troops of your force. Everything else is called forth as you need it!

Fast paced and involving DRAKE allows for quick responsive actions and enjoyable player involvement; especially on your opponents turn.

FEEL THE POWER!
