Summary
As long as you approach Ancient Civilizations of the Inner Sea as a game as opposed to a strict historical simulation, you should have a great time. I love the fact there are so many ways you can tackle the game; if you want a Euro style go ahead. Care for more conflict? You can do that too. You have to be someone who enjoys a good dose of take that as the game revolves around playing cards to disrupt the plans of your competitors. All the components are nicely presented and the rules easily digested. I will say the game can draw on for quite some time with a higher player count so keep that in mind. A really interesting design with plenty of scenarios to dig into.
