Yesterday, Roll for Combat launched a Kickstarter to bring the Battlezoo Bestiary: Elemental Storm to life for 5E D&D and Pathfinder. The volume will contain over 170 award winning monster designs for your favorite fantasy roleplaying games. The project funded in minutes and you can reserve a copy of the 250+ page hardcover, in the flavor of choice, for a pledge or grab just the PDF for a $30.00 pledge through October 8th. Expected delivery is next Spring.

About the project:

attlezoo Bestiary: Elemental Storm is a 250+ page tome that brings hundreds of new monsters and monster-slaying options to 5E and Pathfinder 2e!

Over 170 Innovative and Award-Winning Elemental Monsters

Deliver a fresh and exciting experience and keep players guessing with over 170 new elemental monsters that channel the power of 20 unique elements, including classics like air, earth, fire, and water, as well as new elements like music, space, and time. Your players will never know what’s coming!

But what does “award-winning monsters” actually mean? Each monster found within all of our Battlezoo Bestiaries, including this one, was submitted to an open contest for new and aspiring monster designers.

Entries were judged in two rounds. First, all entries went through an open judging process where anyone could rank each monster based on a number of criteria. After that round was completed, the top monsters were selected, and then industry professionals scored the top entries on new criteria, producing copper, silver, gold, and platinum winners, as well as one grand prize winner, which was depicted on the cover. Not only did each winner get their monster depicted in this book, but each was also awarded a cash prize!

Inside the book itself, next to each monster, you will see each winner’s name and medal rank. So yes, each monster in these books is actually award-winning!
