Catalyst Game Labs has announced big developments regarding their Shadowrun franchise in the next 24 months. Not only will the RPG receive an all new edition in summer but next spring will see the release of a deck building card game (Shadowrun Crossfire) with an RPG feel and, in winter, a skirmish level miniatures game (Shadowrun Sprawl Gangers) hits with a proposed campaign system where “Gangs won’t simply fight for the sake of fighting, but will actively build their turfs and resources.”
2014 will see a Euro-style board game set in the Shadowrun world, Shadowrun Hostile Takeover, in which players take the helms of megacorporations as they vie for control in the city of Seattle.
Look like there’s lots on the horizon and it very well may turn out 2013 is the Year of Shadowrun!
