I take a first look at the old west game Cowboys II: Cowboys & Indians Edition from Worthington Publishing. The game – designed by Matt Burchfield, Mike Wylie, Grant Wylie, and Kevin Wylie – focuses on man to man tactical combat. Cowboys II is for one to ten players, ages 14+, plays in around an hour, and carries an MSRP of $85.00.

I own a copy of “Cowboy’s” and really liked the game. I’m a real fan of “The Western”… and think “The Wild Bunch” is about the best Western anywhere… THOUGH, I love “Butch Cassidy”, “The 3:10 to Yuma” (recent edition), and ANY Eastwood Western that ever came out. *** What a shame we can’t get the full library of Sergio Buchi’s “Spaghetti Westerns” here (“I’m Nobody”, and such)… also liked “Chato’s Land”, “The professionals”, and “Major Dundee”. I’m ready to jump all over “Cowboys II”, and already enjoy “BANG, the Dice game”, when I have enough players to get on with it (am a solo player)…the game sounds GREAT! SO… WHERE do I get western MINI’s? I was too broke to pick up on some great sculpts somewhere in 2019… shoot it along, IF you know anyplace.
Two companies right off the top of my head would be Knuckle Duster Miniatures and North Star Miniatures as both have good selections of old west minis.
