Fantasy Flight Games Announces Infiltration

Fantasy Flight Games has announced a new card game from designer Donald X Vaccarino. Infiltration is set in the Android Universe, which is pretty cool as I happen to like Android a lot. Here are the details:

Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Infiltration, a card game designed by Donald X. Vaccarino (Dominion, Kingdom Builder)!

Set in the dystopian future of Android, Infiltration is a tense card game of futuristic larceny in which two to six players take the roles of thieves, competing to steal valuable secrets from a highly secured corporate facility.

The most vital information lies deep within the complex, but each step inward takes you farther from escape. Worse yet, corporate mercenaries are closing in! How long will you push your luck as you avoid security patrols, surpass rival thieves, and try to download the most data before the building is locked down?

A new heist every time

To begin, a deck of thirty-two Room cards is shuffled, and from these, the CyberSolutions’ twelve room-facility is built. With the abundance of extra cards and the numerous possible combinations, no two games of Infiltration will ever be the same. What’s more, fans of Android’s thematic focus will appreciate finding similar details in Infiltration; each thief has his own personal motivation for taking part in this daring late-night larceny.

Tech Expert Gabriel Correa Santiago might be in it for the money and the thrills, but bioroid “Marilyn” 7Y3T9D has more private reasons for breaking into an android factory. But there’s no honor among thieves; although the group may have started out working together, all bets are off once the alarm sounds.

Take the data and run

All the while, security mercs approach the facility and the risk of being caught in the act increases…so get in, get the data, and get out. If the mercs arrive, any characters left in the building will be imprisoned. How much information can you download before you hear their sirens blaring outside?

With its nearly infinite replayability and tense push-your-luck action, Infiltration is perfect for fans of fast-paced card games, the rich dystopian world of Android, or the work of celebrated designer Donald X. Vaccarino. For more on Infiltration, visit its website and keep checking back for previews. Then, plan to catch this heist at your local game store in the second quarter of 2012!
