‘Frontiers’ Living Campaigns Announced for Modiphius RPGs

Modiphius Frontiers (Modiphius Entertainment)Today Modiphius Entertainment revealed plans for their Frontiers initiative which would incorporate “living campaigns” into the Modiphius line up of RPGs. First on the agenda, for 2016, is the immensely popular Achtung! Cthulhu and the company is asking for gamers’ feedback through an online survey. 2017 should see more game systems receive the Frontiers treatment.

From Modiphius:

Modiphius Entertainment, creators of award-winning roleplaying games like Achtung! Cthulhu and publishers of the official Infinity, Conan and Mutant Chronicles roleplaying games, is pleased to announce Modiphius FRONTIERS, a series of new living campaigns for its raft of roleplaying games.

Modiphius wants to involve its vibrant RPG community in making these living campaigns deliver everything they could possibly want and so it is seeking their views through an online survey at Modiphius Frontiers

Modiphius intends to release living campaigns for its Achtung! Cthulhu, Mutant Chronicles, Conan and Infinity roleplaying games (with more to be added). The goal is to create a really fun and inclusive yearly living campaign for the whole community to join in with and spectacular finales at major gaming shows and events.

Launching later this year, the Achtung! Cthulhu living campaign will be the first release, followed by Mutant Chronicles, with both Conan and Infinity following in 2017.

A living campaign could be described as a series of regularly released scenarios that groups commit to playing, and then each month submit results of their game.  The new living campaigns from Modiphius will be taking information from those who play in them to shape the way the storyline grows.  These will culminate in major convention scenarios that will decide the shape of things to come.

Modiphius is going to host the first of its Living Campaign special events at this year’s Dragonmeet Tabletop Convention in London on Saturday December 3rd and plans to include further European and USA conventions in 2017.

Chris Birch, publishing director of Modiphius said: “Living campaigns are some of the most interesting and innovative parts of tabletop roleplaying, and we’re really excited to bring them to our popular series of RPGs. It’s a great way to bring our community together and we’re really looking forward to getting their feedback and telling some awesome stories together.”

Modiphius urges players and GM’s to get involved and head on over to the Modiphius Frontiers page now, where they can also sign up for the Modiphius newsletter to stay in touch with all the latest news and developments.
