Get Your Game On at TantrumCon February 15th-17th, 2019

I’m of the belief everyone covering tabletop gaming is one big (if sometimes a touch dysfunctional) family so I’m always happy to share any cool goings on from other folks. Next February the fine folks at Tantrum House will be putting on their inaugural TantrumCon in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The convention will run Feb. 15th though the 17th at the Spartanburg Marriott Hotel and Event Center and you can get your badges right now. Currently, there’s an early bird special running through October 1st where you can snag your tickets for $54.00. After that date badges will be $60.00 for the three day show.

Here’s what Tantrum House’s Will Meadows shared with me when I asked if there was anything in particular he’d like to mention about the con, which might not be in the press release:

“One of my visions for the con is that games are happening ALL the time — games inside of games. A giant leaderboard for who’s won the most games or logged the most plays; a game of #hashtag that I’m creating where people will be taking pictures during the con in order to win prizes; random clues throughout the space pointing toward a bigger mission that players can unlock if they want to… cool stuff like that. It’s gonna be epic!”

What to expect at TantrumCon 2019

There will be TONS of opportunities to learn new games, play with new friends (and old), hang out with the Tantrum House crew (as well of lots of other board game personalities) and generally have the time of your life! Our board game library will be open 17-hours a day. Our dedicated GMs will be teaching games all day. The Tantrum House crew will be shooting live reviews, podcast interviews, and shows each day that you can be involved in! Board game demos and tournaments will be scheduled to take place throughout the day, and it’ll pretty much be the most fun Spartanburg has ever known!

We’re working on a number of Premium Events (they will cost a little extra) but they will feature food, giveaways, and prestigious GMs!
