Kobold Quarterly is No More

Sad news for fans of role playing games as the popular Kobold Quarterly is ceasing publication. The fanzine had provided a nice five year run of providing interesting content for gamers of all stripes but an announcement by Wolfgang Baur on Friday broke the bad news the quarterly print and PDF magazine will be no more. I’m especially sorry to hear this as The Complete Kobold Quarterly Guide to Game Design had recently won an ENnie at this past Gen Con for best RPG related accessory so I had hoped this might help with eliminating the hand to mouth existence most fanzines operate under.

Yet there is a silver lining to the story as the Kobold website will remain and the promise has been made to continue to post new material every weekday while the Kobold team revealed some other projects which are on the horizon. As Wolfgang points out this is simply the end of one adventure and there are plenty more in the future.
