Our Brilliant Ruin (Studio Heritage)Upstairs, Downstairs meets horror in the new roleplaying game Our Brilliant Ruin from Studio Hermitage. The RPG focuses on members of a class based society living on a dying world similar to our own Europe during the 19th Century. The Kickstarter has passed the funding threshold over on Kickstarter and you can reserve a copy of the 256 page RPG in hardcover for a $50.00 pledge or grab just the PDF for a $15.00 pledge through March 28th. Expected delivery on the hardcover is this August with an early edition of the PDF to be made available in May.

About the game:

Our Brilliant Ruin is a tabletop roleplaying game set in the Dramark, a place where the last fragile remains of society live in the shadow of a dying world. The Ruin, a preternatural force befouling everything it touches, has ravaged geography and culture alike, wreaking destructive havoc and loosing monstrous creatures into a previously bucolic region. With the world plunged into rust and ruin, how will you spend the time you have left?

Written by industry veterans Justin Achilli (World of Darkness series, Assassin’s Creed series), Rachel J. Wilkinson (Vampire the Masquerade: Port Saga, Dune: Adventures in the Imperium), and Pam Punzalan (Journeys through the Radiant Citadel, 2022 Nebula Award Finalist), this tabletop roleplaying game is the first of many steps into the world of Our Brilliant Ruin.

Our Brilliant Ruin explores human drama and personal intrigue in an elitist, class-based society unraveling after catastrophe. With aesthetics and technology inspired by England’s Edwardian Era and France’s Belle Époque, the Dramark is a fictional world that draws from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements.
