There's actually quite a bit to like about Overlight (especially the setting and backstory) but unfortunately the entire system really feels undercooked. The Shards are pretty interesting and full of mystery but too little information is provided for newcomers and it seems far too much of the background will be left up to the players and GMs. The art is interesting but uninspiring while the page count is artificially inflated by the unusually large text font. Still, it seems like there's a cool game to be found here if the system were to undergo a lot more development.
