Dog House Rules is nearing the end of a successful Kickstarter run to bring Sidewinder Recoiled to Savage Worlds Adventure Edition to the masses. The setting is one of a historical Old West of the United States during the either of two timelines; 1804-1848 or 1849 to 1899. There’s even a 47 page quick-start to introduce you to the setting right here. The project to bring Sidewinder Recoiled for Savage Worlds to the masses is fully funded and you can reserve a copy of the core book, GM screen, and all stretch goals with POD at cost options for a $30.00 pledge or just reserve the PDF alone for $19.00 pledge through February 29th. Expected delivery on the digital files is this December.
About the project:
Sidewinder Recoiled for Savage Worlds is a traditional Western role-playing game. Create fearsome Gunslingers, low-down Rustlers, or head- strong Bounty Hunters-just to name a few of the 20 featured archetypes-and test your mettle on the frontier.
Sidewinder Recoiled for Savage Worlds is intended as a historical game, with this caveat: facts should never get in the way of a good story. Maintaining a balance between historical verisimilitude and cine- matic Western action is a primary goal of the game.
We call it Savage Sidewinder for short. Its roots reach back to Dog House Rules’s Ennie-Award winning Sidewinder Recoiled published in 2004. This 2024 version is reimagined for play with the Savage Worlds game system, in celebration of DHR’s 20th anniversary.
So saddle up, buckle on your holster belt, and pull your hat down low. You’re fixin’ to ride into the Wild West of Savage Sidewinder.
