Symbaroum: Symbar - Mother of Darkness (Free League Publishing)The impressive fantasy RPG Symbaroum, from Free League Publishing, has a new adventure supplement up for crowdfunding on Kickstarter. Symbar – Mother of Darkness is the fourth episode of the Chronicle of the Throne of Thorns campaign as the action moves into the Forest of Davokar and the ruined city of Symbar. The project is past the 250% funding mark and you can reserve the book in PDF for a $21.00 pledge or grab the hardcover for a $43.00 pledge through April 11th. Expected delivery is November of this year.

From Free League:

Symbaroum invites you to join in the adventure! Enter the vast Forest of Davokar on a hunt for treasure, lost wisdom and fame. It’s time to explore the heart of the ancient forest. “Mother of Darkness” is what the witches of the barbarian clans call the ruined city of Symbar, once the capital of the empire of Symbaroum. It has long been lost, but just recently its position has been pinpointed, triggering a rush of competing factions mounting expeditions in the hope of arriving there first. The journey will be long, the rivalry fierce and bloody, and none of the competitors truly know what to expect if they manage to reach the ruins alive.

Symbaroum: Symbar - Mother of Darkness Art (Free League Publishing)SYMBAR – MOTHER OF DARKNESS is the fourth installment of the epic CHRONICLE OF THE THRONE OF THORNS, for the award-winning Symbaroum tabletop roleplaying game. It is also a good starting point if you have never played Symbaroum before – you can jump right into the action and head straight for the grand prize! However, should you wish to start from the very beginning, check out the pledge level called STARTER SET which makes it possible for you to build your own reward package by selecting from among several add-on options at reduced prices (scroll down and you’ll find it).

SYMBAR – MOTHER OF DARKNESS is the fourth episode in the Chronicle of the Throne of Thorns. The approximately 200 page book is a standalone sequel to Thistle Hold – Wrath of the Warden, Karvosti – The Witch Hammer and Yndaros – The Darkest Star, and will be followed by two more episodes.

It is through these campaign and adventure modules that we will keep building the world of Symbaroum. Aside from an in-depth introduction to a specific region in Ambria, Davokar or beyond, each book will introduce new optional rules and features: abilities, (monstrous) traits, mystical powers and rituals, creatures, artifacts, elixirs and much more!
