The Dark Sands is a very solid take on the North African Campaign of 1940-42. I especially like the chit draw aspect of the action which keeps the players on their toes. I will mention you'll want to grab the updated rules as there was quite a bit of errata updated in January 2019. I wouldn't say this is an overly complex game but there are special instances to keep your eyes open for so this wouldn't be a title I'd recommend to introduce players to wargaming or anyone really new to the genre. Overall and interesting look at the Desert Fox and those who were able to defeat him.
