Victory Point Games has released their fifth title in the Casual Cards line with Ghosts in the Grid, a game of high tech computer hacking. The game is now available from VPG and carries an MSRP of $21.95.

From VPG:

“He could feel the sweat beading on his forehead under his iCap in spite of the cool sixty-five degrees of his working space. He had nearly been Assimilated. He wouldn’t have been harmed physically, of course…at least not that he knew. There were rumors of hackers and ghost-runners being brain-fried by next-gen FEDS, but they were just Net legends.  There were safeguards built into his iCap to prevent dangerous feedback from reaching his brain, even if there were new, predatory forms of Firewall Enhancement Defense Software. It wasn’t the FEDS that had nearly gotten him, but attack programs set off by a rival Ghost, after the same data he was…”  Fiction by David Spangler

Ghosts in the Grid is a 2 to 4 player card game, with the flexibility to combine two or more games to increase complexity and or the numbers of players. By creating the gameboard (“Grid”) with all unique tiles, the Grid changes each time you play! Advance by playing Ghost cards wisely, or thwart opposing players by hacking their Ghost with deadly Virus cards.

Your goal is to retrieve the Data from the Central Node at all costs! Escape with it before opposing players hack your Ghost and the Virus assimilates you. Each player begins on opposite corners of the assembled Grid. You play Ghost cards on yourself to move towards the center and attempt to retrieve the Data, or put a stop to other players getting to the object by playing Virus cards on them. If you have too many Virus cards on yo ur Command Row mat at once, you will be Assimilated and will have to start over again!

Do you think you have what it takes? Prepare yourself with Ghosts in the Grid!
