Classic Dungeons & Dragons at Dungeon Masters Guild

The weekend of October 14-16 Fantasy Flight Games will be hosting Arkham Nights 2011. You’ll be able to get together with gamers from across the nation to play some of your favorite Cthulhu Mythos games published by FFG. This is the second annual get together. Last year’s Arham Nights was a great time with gaming, sneak peeks, and fascinating looks into the game development process. It is where I got to try Mansions of Madness for the first time with the designer Corey Konieczka, and played a game of Arkham Horror with the legendary designer Richard Launius.

Here are the details, you could win the opportunity to help design a future Mansions of Madness expansion!

Bring your favorite horror stories to life through our games set in H.P. Lovecraft’s macabre world of weird fiction. Now you can pull back the veil on the weekend’s festivities with a schedule of the events (pdf, 288KB), available on the Arkham Nights 2011 support page. Review the schedule, then pay for your registration today to attend all the games, Q&A sessions, and appearances by the design teams behind some of your favorite games, as well as special guest Richard Launius!

Madness all weekend long

With multiple tables of Arkham Horror, Elder Sign, and Mansions of Madness running all weekend long, along with both casual and tournament play for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, Arkham Nights 2011 offers the year’s most thrilling Lovecraftian horrors.

Still, we have more than games on the agenda. Here’s a glimpse at some of the other events:

Arkham Nights Costume Contest
Come as your favorite investigator–or eldritch creature–and judges Kevin Wilson and Richard Launius will decide who is Arkham’s greatest hero, or threat. Last year’s Costume Contest was a remarkable hit, and we are compelled (past reason) to look again upon the face of madness. Prizes are awarded for the best costume, and for the Fan Favorite.

Weekend Arkham Horror League
The Arkham Horror league returns for a quick, weekend-long jaunt through the streets of Arkham. Form a team and play against three league scenarios. The team with the best score will have their names inscribed on a living trophy at the Fantasy Flight Games Event Center.

Fiasco in Arkham
Cultists, gangsters, and investigators cross paths in a unique storytelling experience using Bully Pulpit’s Fiasco RPG. You don’t need to be familiar with Fiasco to participate in this event, which is open to all interested players, but seats are limited!

Review the schedule, then pre-register for Arkham Nights 2011 to earn your pre-order incentives, including a shot at the extraordinary opportunity to help design a future Mansions of Madness Print on Demand expansion. But don’t delay, pre-registration closes on October 4th.
