There’s a new 28mm miniatures skirmish game on the horizon, from West Wind Productions, that’s looking mighty interesting. This new game of steampunk horror is entitled Empire of the Dead and is set in a darkly gothic Victorian Empire populated by heroic gentleman and fiends of unmentionable evil! Players can lead one of four starting factions (The Gentlemen’s Club, Vampire Clan, the Werewolves, or The Brotherhood) which allow for the addition of special character figures to expand each side. Other factions are in the works and you’ll probably eventually see everyone’s current favorites: Zombies!
The streets are a battleground, the forces of good and evil are locked in a hidden battle for power, money and their own traditions. This is the Empire of the Dead.
West Wind also has a set of Quick Start Rules currently available to get your feet wet.
Don your deerstalker because the game’s a foot as Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson look to apprehend the 19th century’s most famous serial killer, Jack the Ripper!
