After months of leaving fans twisting in the wind, Wizards of the Coast has officially announced that Heroscape has come to an end. Rumors had been floating since WalMart had stopped carrying the game and support from WoC had all but dried up for the series. This comes on the heels of the announcement of Jerome Lalin as the new Vice President of Marketing at Wizards.

I find it interesting that, as of this writing, Wizards of the Coast has not posted any word of this on their website but they have made the announcement to retailers and resellers. I’m not personally a player of the system but I certainly can attest that this is indeed a dark day for fans of the game…
