After some teases 20th Century Fox has finally released the first trailer for this summer’s The Wolverine and, from the nearly two and a half minute run time of the international trailer, the movie looks as if it just may re-establish the movie mojo of the Marvel hero after what many considered a major misstep with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Directed by James Mangold, The Wolverine premieres July 26th starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.
From Fox:
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world, he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality.
