Amazingly enough we thought that our current server configuration would carry us through for about a year but we find, less than six months in, it’s time for us to raise the bar again!
Some visitors may have experienced slow load times, or the dreaded browser time out, as of late and this is simply not something Elliott and I will sit back and let happen. So this weekend we’ll be migrating to a new server set up that will provide more horsepower for the website. I’m going to do my best to keep our downtime to the barest minimum and perform the migration in the wee small hours. Those of you familiar with running a website will know that the biggest issue will be the length of time it will take for our domain name to propagate throughout the web and point to the new server. For some people coming to the site this propagation will take minutes and for others it could be a few hours – this is something I’ll have no control over.
Needless to say if you stop by The Gaming Gang sometime this weekend, and find the site is down, have no fear! We haven’t gone anywhere and we’ll be back up ASAP!

Well, we made the move with nary a hitch. Although our captcha was down so no one could post comments for the past couple of days. That’s been fixed so we should be in good shape!
