I sit down to share my thoughts about the core rulebook for Fallout: The Roleplaying Game from Modiphius Entertainment and Bethesda Softworks. The hardcover is packed with everything you need to know in order to begin adventuring in the wasteland, including an introductory adventure.

The volume normally carries an MSRP of $52.00 but is currently on sale – to mark the premiere of the Fallout series on Amazon Prime – for about $23.00. Right now you can also score the PDF for a sale price of $13.40 (normally $20.00) at DriveThruRPG.

SUMMARY

I really feel Fallout: The Roleplaying Game captures what makes the setting interesting and one which people return to again and again in video games. I know some people don't like the 2d20 system although I really don't mind it too much. I know there are also some who will be surprised combat isn't as tactically deep as they might expect. All in all though, I think the core book is extremely well done and is certainly a must have for those interested in bringing the Fallout wasteland to their table.
