I tackle the setting book for the Land of Eem fantasy roleplaying game. The Mucklands Sandbox Campaign Setting contains six different regions which make up the realm. Included within the hexcrawl sandbox are over 450 NPCs, hundreds of locales, over 150 lairs, and lots more. The game is set in the world of the Dungeoneering Adventures YA novels and Rickety Stitch graphic novels.

SUMMARY

The Land of Eem is a fun fantasy setting aimed at all ages. The Mucklands is exploding with content and there's literally years of gaming packed inside the book. This is a sandbox, hex crawl and focuses on emergent gameplay. I do wish the volume included more advice on how to roll with emergent play rather than linear, plotted adventures. This is an absolutely fantasytic sandbox and is a must have if you have any interest in the RPG or setting.
