I share my review of the Musketeers vs. Cthulhu adventure from Nightfall Games. Designed for Call of Cthulhu, the four chapter tale takes the players to 17th century during the era of Alexandre Dumas’s legendary heroes. Players can create their own musketeers or take on the roles of Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and d’Artagnan.

SUMMARY

Musketeers vs. Cthulhu is a fast paced, action packed four chapter mini campaign which is sure to please those who tend to run Pulp Cthulhu styled tales at their table. I really appreciate how this is obviously inspired by both of the Richard Lester musketeer films of the mid 1970s. While there's things I would change if I were running Musketeers vs. Cthulhu - trim out some of the combat encounters and hallucination events in the manor are a couple examples - plenty would remain to make for a very unique experience for players and Keepers alike.

Thanks for the review. We announced a few days ago that the sequel “All the Cardinal’s Men” will be going to Kickstarter next year. Look forward to seeing your take on that as well.
