Continuing their fight now at near-earth orbit as they drift away from the wreckage of the failed Vine invasion, Aric and the Alien (Malgam) continue to go at it. You’ll find Malgam is equipped with some kind of partial X-O armor himself and is able to regenerate, which makes this tricky for Aric. Little did they know things were about to get trickier when Aric’s suit ends up having a mind of its own when stuck in a pinch. Lady Colonel is delivered her “most interesting” prize back at base and Aric takes off for Western Nebraska where he and Saana enjoy a running faucet. And finally, back at Planet Ba’ek you’ll meet Aric’s upcoming new headache: Armor Hunters.

Besides the story, one of the other things I look forward to in X-O Manowar is the art. Simply put, the fight scene panels between Aric and Malgam are kick-ass and well done. This issue leaves you with a few good hooks too. Mainly, What is up with Aric’s X-O suit? Who is Malgam and why did he possess a partial X-O suit? And we are one step closer to the Armor Hunters…
