The Gaming Gang Episode 19: Faux-Cabulary, War of Honor, Nightfall Martial Law, and ConSimWorld Expo 2011

Elliott and Jeff are back and they’re in their usual form – We’re not sure if that’s a good or bad thing…

On the gaming table, for review this time around, is Faux-Cabulary from Out of the Box Publishing, as well as War of Honor and Nightfall: Martial Law, both from AEG.

Jeff shares his thoughts regarding his visit to ConSimWorld Expo 2011, meeting with the gang from Victory Point Games and where the amazing TGG shirts make their first public appearance.

Early Thoughts on ConSimWorld Expo 2011

One of the premiere wargaming events, in the US, is currently taking place in Tempe, Arizona. Organized by John Krantz, ConSimWorld Expo (an offshoot of the ConSimWorld website) is celebrating its eleventh year and it’s bigger than ever. Over 300 gamers of all ages are gathered at the Tempe Mission Palms hotel for a week of new and classic conflict games. Decision Games, Legion Wargames, our good friends at Victory Point Games, and other publishers are in attendance as well.

The Gaming Gang Episode 18: Lord of the Rings LCG, Disaster on K2, Fighting Formations and More

Memorial Day 2011 brings you the latest edition of our podcast!

On the gaming table, for review this time around, is Disaster on K2 from Victory Point Games, Those Pesky Humans from Minion Games, The Lord of the Rings Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games, as well as Fighting Formations: Grossdeutschland Motorized Infantry Division from GMT.

Elliott and Jeff share their thoughts on gaming piracy as the show comes to a conclusion.

The Gaming Gang Episode 17 – Mansions of Madness, Emerald Empire, Resident Evil Alliance and a Whole Lot More

It was a lovely Saturday afternoon (at least in Arizona) as Elliott and Jeff record yet another relatively irrelevant episode. After a look at the latest gaming news, Elliott is joined by Dr. Scott Nicholson of On Board Games (and, the unfortunately the no longer in production, Board Games with Scott) as they discuss gaming at the library.

The boys review Mansions of Madness from Fantasy Flight Games, Emerald Empire 4th Edition for the Legend of the Five Rings RPG from AEG, and Resident Evil Alliance from Bandai.

Avoid Disaster on K2

Victory Point Games has released the follow up to Disaster on Everest with the latest from designer Tom Decker, Disaster on K2. From VPG: From

Victory Point Games Wants You …to Playtest!

Our friends over at Victory Point Games are gearing up for their annual appearance at ConSimWorld Expo, to be held in Tempe, AZ in early June. This time of year is huge for VPG as they do their utmost to debut as many new titles as possible. This means there’s a dire need for playtesters to help ensure these new releases are up to the high standards of gameplay we’ve come to expect from “the little game company that could”.

GMT and VPG Team for Fading Glory

Two of our favorite companies, GMT and Victory Point Games, are teaming up once again for the addition of Fading Glory to GMTs P500 list. From VPG:
