Mayfair Games has announced that it will publish Lemming Mafia, in conjuction with Kosmos – who published the game as Nichtlustig: Lemming Mafia last year. In the game, for 3-6 players ages 8+, you’re a member of a lemming Mafia family betting on rodent mobsters who are making their way to jump off a pier. The race is on to see who croaks first. Oh, you know the suicidal tendencies those lemmings have!
Seeing these aren’t just lemmings but mafioso lemmings, you’ll use all your dirty dealings in order to slow down your opponents and speed up your favored rodent on his path to doom.
The deluxe Lemming Mafia game will include one game board, six mafia lemmings, 36 betting cards, 18 mission cards, 2 lemming dice, 1 regular die, 12 concrete markers, and rules. It will release in September 2010 and retail here in the States for $35.00.
