Dino Hunt Dice, Halloween Dice, and Zombie Dice 2 Coming from SJG

The gang over at Steve Jackson Games just keep those bones rolling in 2012. As well as seven new sets of Cthulhu Dice – sorry it still only one die so it should be titled Cthulhu DIE! –  two new games, Dino Hunt Dice and Halloween Dice, are on the horizon as well as an expansion for Zombie Dice entitled Zombie Dice 2 – Double Feature.

From SJG:

Dino Hunt Dice is a “push your luck” style dice game for three to eight players, designed with a younger player than is usual for SJG. The aim? Collect dinosaurs without getting crushed underfoot. Here’s how SJG Marketing Director Monica Valnetinelli describes it:

Dino Hunt Dice is similar to Zombie Dice. We made a few changes: there are fewer dice, the dice are a little bit smaller, and the cup is smaller. That is all designed around being good for children. They can reach in there more easily; the dice are easier for them to hold. You roll three dice. You don’t want to get stomped on by the dinosaur. Once you have three stomps your turn is over and the dinosaur walked on you.

Dino Hunt Dice stomps into stores late in 2012.

Halloween Dice is a speedy offering for three-plus players, each aiming to collect exactly thirteen Jack O’ Lanterns. Players choose the amount of pumpkin dice they roll, balancing risk versus reward. Candy can be spent to improve odds. Halloween Dice is due in August.

Jeff’s note – Elliott surely won’t give this game a look because TGG listeners know he likes candy so he’s definately not going to be giving any up! 😉

The expansion Zombie Dice 2: Double Feature is actually two expansions in one. The “Big Summer Action Move” adds Hunks and Hotties to the fray, both dangerous to the players but granting double scoring. “Santa Claus Meets the Zombies” sees a red Santa Claus die come to town, bringing presents to the zombie players. The “Direct-to-Video Sequel” rules allow players to combine both expansions.

Zombie Dice 2: Double Feature will be on shelves in April.
