Dreamworks Animation is upping the ante as they have a full slate of films scheduled between now and 2016. The game plan as indicated by the studio’s chief creative officer, Bill Damaschke, to The Hollywood Reporter is to maintain this higher level of production here on out. You may notice they even have a planned reboot of Jay Ward’s 1960s cult classic Mr. Peabody and Sherman!
No word yet on how fast and furious Mr. Peabody’s bad puns will fly…
In the article Damaschke explains, “This is the moment when we can declare that we will have three films a year going forward on a continuing basis.” If this is the case Dreamworks will achieve the highest rate of animation production in Hollywood history.
