‘Powerless’ Powerless in Preventing NBC Cancellation

Deadline is reporting news which won’t come as a shock to anyone who has followed the floundering freshmen comedy Powerless; NBC has axed the poorly received DC Comics universe sitcom. The cancellation was foregone conclusion as the network had already pulled the three remaining unaired episodes from its schedule. A myriad of problem faced Powerless from the start, ranging from viewers tiring of a faux workplace documentary camera style to extremely lackluster implementation of the DC setting with “D-List” superheroes and villains to simply not being funny. The final Powerless airing drew a minuscule 2.03 million viewers.

Here’s hoping Powerless cast members – including Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk and Christina Kirk – quickly find other vehicles better suited to their talents…
