If you’ve got a little time to kill you should check out the first episode of a new fantasy web series, Chaldea: War Room, from one of the minds behind Gen Con.
About the series:
Peter Adkison, co-owner of Gen Con, filmmaker (The Devil Walks in Salem), and founder of Wizards of the Coast, announces his newest project, Chaldea, an epic tale of high-adventure, planetary politics, and war, is now available for public viewing, online and for free.
Created by Adkison, along with long-time collaborator Steve Conard, and developed directly from scenarios gamed by players in Adkison’s RPG campaigns dating back to 1982, Chaldea has traditional fantasy roots with dragons, elves, demons, etc., mixed with real-world places and times in history, such as Rome, Babylon, Teutonic Knights, and real-world pantheons of deities (Norse, Egyptian, Greek, etc.), all of which are brought together in an epic tale in an innovative blend of film, comics, and fiction.
Chaldea: War Room screened at Gen Con earlier this month. Said Gerry Tolbert of Geek Dad, “The blend of graphic novel and live-action melded in a compelling prologue that sets the tone for the court politics and large scale battles to come. I really look forward to seeing the rest of the series.”
