While not really of a supernatural nature, The Whole Town’s Sleeping is still an excellent tale where the tension builds as the story progresses. Agnes Moorehead was a mainstay of radio with a penchant for playing characters in dire circumstances. Here she plays a spinster making her way home late one night as a serial killer prowls the streets of her Midwestern town.
Tonight’s Spooktacular is based on a Ray Bradbury short story and originally aired on Suspense on June 14th, 1955.
