‘After the Empire’ Passes 200% Kickstarter Funding in First 24 Hours

Grey Fox Games decision to relaunch their Kickstarter for After the Empire has been a success, with the project passing 200% funding in its first day. The game is a Medieval era tower defense game as each player looks to survive multiple waves of marauding invaders. After the Empire is for two to four players, ages 14+, and plays in around 90 minutes. You an reserve a copy of the game as well as all unlocked stretch goals for an $85.00 pledge through September 26th. Expected delivery is May 2020.

After the Empire is a tower defense and worker placement game for 2-4 players. In After the Empire, you’ll be recruiting refugees, gathering resources and fortifying your defenses in order to prepare for assault after assault of invaders seeking to sack your castle and take its riches.

Designed by Evan Halbert and Ryan Mauk from Portland Gamecraft, After the Empire is a 2-4 player game that plays in about 90 minutes. In After the Empire, you’ll be recruiting refugees, gathering resources and fortifying your defenses in order to prepare for assault after assault of invaders seeking to sack your castle and take its riches. During each season’s combat a minimum of three invader cards are revealed, with a randomized number of troops and compass direction of attack. Only the wealthiest of castles will draw the attention of larger forces and their siege weapons. You must repair your city and recruit and arm your troops quickly to stand any chance. The game includes plastic castle pieces in both “wood” and “stone” varieties that players will assemble on their boards in front of them.
