Coming in Mid-2011 Lost Battles from Fifth Column Games. Designed by Philip Sabin the game includes a copy of his book Lost Battles. The game recreates five centuries of battles in the ancient world. With 35 historical battles and 5 campaigns, the game offers a lot of bang for the buck. The game system plays quickly and was designed to be modeled from historic accuracy. The game accommodates from one to four players.
Here’s the description from Fifth Column’s website (Unfortunatly, they only use pictures, Hint: Hey Fifth Column, use some real text to make it easier for others to share info on your games)

While this is interesting I would be wary. These games are likely to be simplified historical simulations that favor the actual victor. Replayability would be low. A competitive match would involve playing either side. I don’t actually mind these sort of games, both some people prefer simulations that are balanced.
