In what seems like a move to create more of a feel of a thriving game studio, with intellectual propertie,s as opposed to sounding like a desktop publishing game company being run from someone’s basement, Gary Games is changing their name to Stone Blade Entertainment. Currently there isn’t much to see on the website outside of image links to the Ascension and SolForge websites but I’m sure we’ll see additional content soon enough.
From SBE:
Gary Games, a top industry gaming company, today unveiled the launch of its new name and brand identity, Stone Blade Entertainment. Effective today, the new name represents Gary Games’ commitment to creating and publishing quality entertainment properties for dedicated fans and newcomers alike.
“Gary Games was founded with the goal of gathering a group of inspiring people to make awesome games.” said Stone Blade Entertainment CEO and founder, Justin Gary “Changing our name to Stone Blade Entertainment aligns with this vision, because now our name will be awesome too.”
The new Stone Blade Entertainment identity recognizes the growth of the company and its commitment to providing fans with the quality entertainment products they have come to expect. The rollout of this new brand will coincide with the re-launch of company websites including the Ascension franchise and the upcoming Digital Collectable Game (DCG), SolForge.
Stone Blade Entertainment products will continue to feature high quality artwork and superior game design and development. Current tabletop and digital iOS games include Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer and its expansions, Ascension: Return of the Fallen, Ascension: Storm of Souls and Ascension: Immortal Heroes (table top).
