Renegade Game Studios will release Kepler-3042 at the International Spieltage 2017 in Essen, Germany. Designed by Simone Cerruti Sola, Kepler- 3042 was originally published through Placentia Games and Post Scriptum. This partnership will bring the game to a larger global audience. New art by Kwanchai Moriya (Flip Ships), will immerse players in the distant galaxies they will explore.
The year is 3042, and humanity is ready to explore the stars. Scientists have been studying the nearby celestial bodies for centuries, and they have identified the best candidates for human habitation. At long last, the nations of Earth have the technology to reach the stars. A peaceful competition has begun as they send their starships into the cosmos. In the end, all of humanity will win, but which nation will be remembered as the greatest pioneers?
Kepler-3042 is a game of exploration and colonization. You must carefully manage your resources as you colonize, exploit, and terraform the planets of the Milky Way, developing critical technologies along the way. Each round, you choose which action to perform and which bonuses to activate to further your goals. The nation with the most victory points at the end will be remembered by history as the greatest explorers in the galaxy!
“We’ve published a lot of unique and interesting games in the past three years, but this is the first time we’ve dipped our toes into the deeper end of the pool, ” explains Scott Gaeta, President of Renegade Game Studios. “We are very excited to share Kepler-3042 with our fans because it is a bit heavier than our previous games. Many of our fans were introduced to the industry through elegant simple family games like Lanterns and Gravwell. They’re ready to explore a bit further and we’re looking forward to publishing more games in this category.”
Journey to your local game store this fall or join us in Essen in October to discover Kepler-3042. One to four astronauts ages 14 and up will colonize distant lands for 60-90 minutes.
