Spearpoint 1943 Map Expansion on Kickstarter

The map expansion for Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 from Collins Epic Wargames is up for funding on Kickstarter. If you read our review, you’ll learn about Spearpoint and what a cool game it is. Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 Village and Defensive Line Map Expansion (CEW00005, MSRP $55) is a map-based expansion to our fast-paced WWII-themed card game, Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943. It also expands a future game in the Spearpoint line, Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 Eastern Front. The map expansion featured here takes the basic Spearpoint 1943 card game to a new level of tactical enjoyment for our fan base. Immersion is the goal as you dive into fictional intros by author Mark H. Walker, realistic artwork by German artist Marc von Martial, and well-tested rules that seamlessly tie it all together with the original game and its components. Expansion Components Include:

  • One gorgeous double-sided mounted map
  • 18 double-sided die-cut 4″ square terrain tiles
  • 56 double-sided die-cut 1″ square tracking counters (also useful in the base game)
  • All new scenarios with fictional intros by author Mark H. Walker (of Lock N’ Load Publishing)
  • 2 quick-reference cards
  • 1 score card
  • A more in-depth rules set that covers terrain, line of sight, movement, aircraft flight paths, and more – all added to the well-tested core combat mechanics of Spearpoint 1943.

I think it’s important to note that Spearpoint 1943 was, at least in my opinion, the game that stood out for me at this past Origins. Granted, the game had been out for a bit of time beforehand, but I thought it was the most impressive game I encountered for the first time there at the show.

The video looks like the terrain expansion will really add a completely new element to the base game!
