Take a Big Bite Out of Knuckle Sammich on Kickstarter

Knuckle Sammich (9th Level Games)9th Level Games, the folks behind the funny and farcical Kobolds Ate My Baby! RPG (my review here in case you’re interested), have a Kickstarter project currently running to produce a card game based on the KAMB setting. In Knuckle Sammich, two to eight players compete to gobble up the most sammiches (and, possibly, other kobolds) before lunchtime is over. It’s eat or be eaten as everyone is hankering to fill their bellies – King Torg most of all – so players will need to throw down a lot of “take that” if they want to be crowned the winner.

Knuckle Sammich has already hit its funding goal and you can reserve your copy at the $19 pledge level through June 22nd.

From 9th Level:

King Torg (ALL HAIL KING TORG!) wants lunch. Can you eat a delicious sammich before being eaten by your friends or worse… King Torg?!

Uh-oh! You’re late! Lunch is nearly over and the sandwiches are running out!  It’s time to put some sandwiches in your belly and fast – before King Torg and the other Kobolds eat ’em all (or worse yet, eat you). You may just have to make your own lunch with some KNUCKLE SAMMICHES!

Knuckle Sammich is a fast playing game of take-that shenanigans*, occasional yelling**, and delicious sammiches*** for 2–8 players.

*If you are not a fan of shenanigans, then you probably don’t want to play this game.
**If you don’t think its fun to shout silly things, then sadly, this game is not for you. We thank you for your patience up to this point.
***The sammiches included in the box are made out of cardboard, please don’t eat them.

Knuckle Sammich Card (9th Level Games)KNUCKLE SAMMICH – A Kobolds Ate My Baby! Card Game is an original game from the designers and publishers of KOBOLDS ATE MY BABY! The Original Beer and Pretzels RPG and SCHRÖDINGER’S CATS. First released as an ashcan edition in 2013, the game has evolved from a silly micro-game into a full sized card party game of sandwiches, strategy, and eating your neighbors. The rules are accessible to gamers of all skill levels, and feature scalable maturity and complexity levels making it a perfect choice for family or party gaming occasions. Using a familiar draw one card play one card mechanic, Knuckle Sammich is quick to learn but offers a fun challenge and great replayability with entertainingly ridiculous card abilities.

Kobolds are furry, little, doggy people. They aren’t good at much except cooking and, ironically, they are delicious when cooked. King Torg (All Hail King Torg!) is the biggest and hungriest of Kobolds, and he demands to be fed – if the Kobolds fail to feed him, he’s more than willing to just eat them. Did we mention that Kobolds are damn tasty?

Kobolds are the stars of the eponymous, cult-classic, role-playing game KOBOLDS ATE MY BABY! created by Chris O’Neill and Dan Landis which features the art stylings of John Kovalic!!! This is the Kobolds’ first card game.
