Today, Kobold Press launched a Kickstarter to bring gamers two new releases for Tales of the Valiant and 5E Dungeons & Dragons. The Labyrinth crowdfunding project features two volumes; a Worldbook and an Adventure book. The project funded within moments and, while there are a variety of pledge levels, you can reserve a copy of the Worldbook hardcover (with PDF) for a pledge of $59.00 or grab the Adventure hardcover (with PDF) for $49.00. Score both (with PDFs) for $109.00. The project runs through October 22 with an expected delivery in June 2025.
About the project:
The Labyrinth Worldbook provides something new in 5E tabletop, a campaign overlay. It is a means to connect together as many existing campaign settings as you desire by adding the Labyrinth as a connecting layer and source of adventure.
- Tired of the Realms, but might want to return? Take the long way through the Labyrinth to another world, and go back home any time.
- Want to visit the Hells but don’t want to torch your whole campaign? It’s covered.
- Ready to invade a god’s dream and make it real? Sure, there’s a faction devoted to that.
- Ready to visit the Near Void to kick horrific world-eating monsters to the curb? Well . . . they’re waiting for you. Let us know how it turns out.
- Want to drink from the wells of Creation, and make a world of your own? Ok, that might take some doing…
- The Labyrinth lifts your homebrew campaign from amazing to mind-bending.
The Labyrinth Worldbook hardcover describes the setting and player options, with 6 new lineages and heritages, including star elves, minotaurs, gearforged, and 3 new dragonborn—including radiant and void variants. There’s also more than 70 new spells for portal, dream, and void magic, along with dozens of new vehicles and magical items. The 15 new subclasses include a spirit path barbarian, shock trooper fighter, radiant warlock, and many more. From the secrets of the Void to the worlds and factions, it’s all ready to play.
The Labyrinth Adventures hardcover delivers a complete campaign of 10 adventures from levels 1 to 8, with a linked plotline for running them in sequence. Of course, you can run any adventure independently if you just want to dip in for a level or two.
