AEG is teaming with Grey Gnome Games to bring the railroading dice game Trainmaker to a larger audience. In the game, one to six players will push their luck as each attempts to not only create a train by rolling custom dice but also score special contracts. Trainmaker is for ages 14 and up, plays in 10 minutes, and will carry an MSRP of $24.99 when it arrives in September.
About the game:
Trainmaker is a fast-paced, press-your-luck dice game that puts players in the roles of aspiring railroad magnates building an empire! On a turn, you:
- Roll the custom-molded railroad dice.
- Form the results into a train filled with rolling stock and finishing with a caboose.
- Score station cards that match the train you created.
If you are clever — and lucky — you can score all three station cards on your turn! Use the discard abilities of your scored station cards to manipulate the dice and help yourself. What’s more, each player begins with a switch track card that allows them to choose a dice result, but you can use it only once per game, so pick your moment carefully.
The first player to score one of each type of station card — or complete their hidden contract card — wins!
