AEG Stronghold Stores only will receive Emperor Edition Boosters for pre-release between January 27th-29th. Pre-release events will be held in adraft format. Participate in these pre-release events and receive a special promo card! Then, from February 17th-19th, Stronghold Stores will receive Emperor Edition Starter Decks for yet another pre-release event. These Starter Deck pre-release events will be in sealed deck format. Again, you will receive a special promo for attending.
All other stores that carry L5R will receive Emperor Edition in its entirety on February 27th, 2012. Stronghold Stores are allowed to begin selling Emperor Edition on the above mentioned pre-release dates.
AEG understands and apologizes for the various delays in The Emperor Edition. As a way to make it up to loyal fans of the series, L5R players will find a new distribution among their booster packs. Instead of the prior 10 common, 4 uncommon, and 1 rare card in prior booster packs, AEG will now have 9 common, 5 uncommon, and 1 rare card in the Emperor Edition Boosters!
In addition to new distribution, a letter from Kolat reveals even more exciting opportunities to take advantage of while waiting for Emperor Edition to arrive:
