Coming very soon from Z-Man Games and Ludonaute is Yggdrasil. No, I have no idea how to pronounce it. Designed by Cédric Lefebvre and Fabrice Rabellino, it is a co-op game for 1-6 players. The players are the “Good” Norse gods trying to stop the “Bad” Norse gods during Ragnarok (the end of the universe).
Those pesky evil guys are trying to take out the world tree, Yggdrasil. You need to work together to stop them enlisting the help of the Elves, Dwarves, Vanir (Vanir?), Giants, and Vikings. The game was designed to be very thematic and true to the Norse Mythology. The artwork from Piero is beautiful.
The difficulty level can be adjusted easily depending upon how many super-bad guy cards you add into the deck at the beginning of the game. To win, you just need to hold off the invading enemies until you reach the end of the deck.
