A horror movie which has received a lot of great press is arriving on Netflix prior to its theatrical run and if you subscribe to the streaming service (and dig horror flicks of course) this should be on your watch list. American Mary, written and directed by sisters Jen and Sylvia Soska (the Twisted Twins), is the tale of a surgical student abroad who leaves the classroom behind and embarks on an ever darkening journey into the underworld of body modification.
Sounds spooky kids!
Starring Katharine Isabelle, American Mary will be available on May 16th through Netflix and will arrive in theaters on May 30th. Stay tuned for a review following the Netflix debut.
From IndustryWorks Pictures:
Pain Is Inevitable, Suffering Is Optional. Appearances Are Everything!
From the creative team that brought you the indie-smash film Dead Hooker In A Trunk – American Mary is the story of a medical student named Mary who is growing increasingly broke and disenchanted with medical school and the established doctors she once idolized. The allure of easy money sends a desperate Mary through the messy world of underground surgeries which leaves more marks on her than the so-called freakish clientele.
