I share my thoughts and page through the Folk Magic of the Haven Isles supplement, for The Midderlands, from MonkeyBlood Design and Publishing. The short book contains new Magic User sub-classes and backgrounds, new spells, and more for OSR Fantasy RPGs.

Summary
Folk Magic of the Haven Isles is another fun release for The Midderlands OSR setting, although the supplement can be used with any fantasy RPG. The focus is on magic users with new subclasses, backgrounds, spells and more. I do wish there was a little less art and more gamable material contained in the short 60 pages. Plus, I'm surprised such a short book got the hardcover treatment. This is a solid addition to the setting all in all.
