Preorder ‘Dust Adventures’ RPG for March 2015 Release

Modiphius Entertainment is currently taking preorders for the highly anticipated Dust Adventures RPG. The title is being touted as “rules light” but that shouldn’t deter tons of Dust fans from grabbing the system as soon as it becomes available.

Cake Walk (Fabled Environments)

‘Cake Walk’ Brings Bizarre Adventure to Savage Worlds

A mighty interesting sounding Savage Worlds adventure supplement is currently available through Fabled Environments. In Cake Walk, the players discover strange goings on taking place in the most innocuous of locales: A snack cake factory. I suppose you’ll never look at Twinkies in the same way again…

‘Lords of Olympus Diceless RPG’ Now Available

An interesting looking roleplaying game has arrived by way of Precis Intermedia which places the players in the roles of Greek gods and heroes of ancient myth. Lords of Olympus Diceless RPG allows gamers to tailor their adventures to suit their own tastes with a real emphasis on storytelling.

‘Cthulhu Britannica: London’ to Arrive Early 2015 from Cubicle 7

The highly anticipated Cthulhu Britannica: London boxed set will be available to non-Kickstarter backers in early 2015, according to our friends at Cubicle 7 Entertainment. I have to say this looks like an excellent release for Call of Cthulhu and can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

It’s the End of the World as We Know It by way of Fantasy Flight Games

Fantasy Flight Games is releasing a new roleplaying line and the title, and focus, is The End of the World. Consisting of four standalone books the series will tackle the undead (Zombie Apocalypse), supernatural (Wrath of the Gods), extraterrestrial terrors (Alien Invasion), and – for those Terminator fans out there – science turning against humanity (Revolt of the Machines).

They Should Have Put “Bored” in the Title: A Review of ‘Hoard of the Dragon Queen’ for 5th Ed Dungeons & Dragons

While one would think the release of the latest edition of Dungeons & Dragons would have led Wizards of the Coast to make sure the first adventure for 5th Edition was a real barn burner, the unfortunate truth is nearly the exact opposite has taken place. Or, in other words, after releasing a pretty impressive Player’s Handbook at Gen Con and just prior to last week’s also well-presented Monster Manual WotC decided to dump a real dog on the public in Hoard of the Dragon Queen.

To Turn the Tide Against Cosmic Horror and Hitler: A Review of ‘World War Cthulhu: The Darkest Hour’

There’ve been plenty of horror RPGs over the past few years set during World War Two and that may lead some to question if Cubicle 7’s entry into the WWII/Cthulhu Mythos is really necessary. Keep in mind Achtung! Cthulhu hit the scene not long ago so it’s understandable if folks out there might be wondering how World War Cthulhu stands up against the Modipheus series or if the Cubicle 7 book is worth picking up if they already have A!C.
