The nominees for the 2020 Origins Awards have been revealed by GAMA and I have to admit I’m pretty surprised by many of the choices. I’m used to seeing some titles, which I hadn’t played the previous year, nominated but there isn’t a single nominee outside of RPG entries which I’ve even see up close, let alone played. Outside of the Pathfinder Second Edition Corebook, not a single one of my favorite games of 2019 (which I shared back in January here and here) received a nomination. I’m not knocking any of these nominees – I haven’t played them! – but this list seems to be lacking some seriously heavy hitters…
