Richman, the creator of Strat-O-Matic Baseball, saw legions of fans descend upon the Community Church of New York to jointly celebrate the game’s 50th anniversary and its annual Opening Day party.
When we think about games and their stories, we’re thinking about a nicely complicated interweaving of narrative and activity.
Let’s just pick up right where we left off yesterday as I was talking with Alan Emrich, the man behind Victory Point Games!

I have a couple of issues I keep in mind when I’m putting together the list of games I’ll want to take along to visit friends and family. First, I don’t want to overwhelm our hosts, so I only take a few games. Somewhere between four and six seems like a good number. Second, I like to bring short games. Third, how big a family are we visiting? Do you need to pack some massively multi-player games for your sister with three kids? And if it’s your sister with the kids then you’ll need to think about ages, too. Lastly, I spend a little time thinking about theme.
