Lock ‘n Load Publishing is placing the aliens of the universe on notice. The Space Infantry are coming, and the Space Infantry are bad news. Very bad news.
Space Infantry is an exiting new solitaire game of squad-level combat set in the far future. In Lock ‘n Load Publishing’s Space Infantry you will lead an elite team of soldiers through a series of missions that can be played individually or as a campaign.
An innovative system makes possible a quick resolution of the different tasks (exploration, combat) while keeping the game tense and unpredictable. Six different enemies, numerous missions, and a modular system that dynamically generates new encounters assures many hours of enjoyment.
Game Includes:
- Eight mission cards.
- Approximately 158-counters.
- 18 character cards.
- 6 enemy cards.
- 12 Tiles for constructing random missions.
- Rules booklet.
- Boxed.
This is a creative and immersive design, but sadly the rules are not up to par as the LnLP development team somewhat dropped the ball here (one would think it was almost a gimme considering that the web version had been out for about a year?). Still, with some common sense applied and amazing support from the designer (over on BGG), I’ve been enjoying the heck out of SI. I’ve played the game solo and co-op, and each and every time it’s been a worthwhile experience.
